But if they’re smart they’ll skip work tomorrow…kudos to New York’s Hunter Mountain, doing the Military Appreciation thing this weekend with $5 lift tickets for active duty and 50% off for vets and family, and a percentage going to the Wounded Warriors foundation…just heard from marketing manager Dig Chrismer up at Schweitzer Mountain Resort in Idaho, she sez they’re scheduling some serious lift upgrades this summer, replacing the old Snow Ghost double with a fixed grip triple and adding a high speed quad…speaking of lifts, more problems in New England, word is that the White Heat lift at Sunday River is on the fritz. They show all the White Cap trails open on snow report, but you gotta hoof it up to ski ’em. And if you walk up to the window today you can pay $105 for the privilege…FIS World Cup action coming up this weekend, ladies are in Spindleruv Mlyn, CZE for super G racing Friday, slalom on Saturday. Overall champ Mikaela Shiffrin will be competing. Yeah, if you missed it, a bunch of cancellations last weekend made her mathematically out of reach for Petra Vlhova. Question is now how many globes she’ll take. The White Circus has been absent from Spindleruv Mlyn for quite a few years, so it will be fun to see how the resort reacts to hosting the show.
