Photo above courtesy Hunter Mountain in New York State. “Huntah” has the reputation for being a citified ski area, but as you can see, it’s much more than that.   And for what it’s worth, conditions pretty darn good right now…Colorado weighs in with about a foot to 14″ through most of the Summit County areas; Vail reporting 11″ of fresh, 14″ at Arapahoe Basin…great report out of the Dakotas where Terry Peak gleaned about 10″ of fresh, patrol dropped ropes on three new trails. They’ve got a free demo day coming up Sunday…Mount Bohemia up in Michigan keeps getting dumped on, they’re skiing in trees, cliffs, you name it. Has snowed virtually every day for the past week, and it should keep up for another week…Tricia Mangan has been added to the U.S. Olympic skiing team and is on her way to Pyeonchang; Tricia is a technical skier so she’ll likely compete in Slalom and possibly GS…New Hampshire and Maine in the crosshairs of an eastern storm today, Sugarloaf et al hoping for as much as a foot out of this one…edited to correct the date, guess I was rushing things a bit….don’t forget, free Ski Bum stickers, just e-mail your name and address to sticker@skibum.net and we promise not to send any spam, just some wicked cool stickers.
