Wyoming biggie Jackson Hole Mountain Resort going to open Friday, that’s ahead of schedule thanks to massive amounts of snowfall. Photo above shows a peek this morning at the top of the Teton lift, looking good…meanwhile the news not so great out of Colorado; Front Range Eldora Resort going to delay their planned opening for lack of snow; no word yet on when…drive south and head out I-70 and the story is pretty much the same at Vail. Opening delayed, no date mentioned…Last night Wildwood Missouri council told Hidden Valley Ski Resort representatives that they would not budge on operating hours or scope of the proposed zip line attraction; owner Peak Resorts sez that will make it unprofitable and the whole place “could be sold” to housing developers…in New Mexico, Taos Ski Valley slated to open Thanksgiving Day from 9 AM to 4 PM, limited to beginner terrain off the Pioneer Lift. They’ll spin through Sunday, then again next weekend, then do a regular season opening on December 8th…Utah’s Snowbird Resort gonna get in the game tomorrow the 22nd; they’ll be spinning the Gadzoom lift and won’t have anything from the Bird Center…speaking of Peak Resorts, New York’s Hunter Mountain also kicking it off tomorrow; they’ll have top-to-bottom on Hellgate, Broadway, Kennedy Drive and Fifth Avenue, which will be serviced by the Kaatskill Flyer and D-lift…Snowshoe WV now says they will open Friday at 9 AM, but they haven’t said what yet.
